Default Brush Usage Tutorial For Mac
Here is a tutorial on how to use brushes you have downloaded for GIMP on a Mac. You can download brushes from deviantart.com

The first thing you should do is make a folder to put all of your brushes in. Go to Finder. Hit Ctrl+click. Click New Folder. Whenever you download a brush pack, put it in your folder you've made.

yeah i like it, too. it will be useful to any mac GIMP user
although you could trim the images a little, but that isn't to big of a problem
